Events over the past several weeks have brought streams of questions from my children.  They’ve had questions about race, violence and hate, and why there isn’t more love in the world.  Their questions have left me stumped and fumbling for the perfect answers.

This article has personally helped shed light on the questions coming at me.  It’s helped me realize that I don’t need to have the perfect answer for my kids.  In situations like this, one of the most important things I can do is listen to their concerns, express my concerns and discuss how we can love more.

No matter what your race or skin color is, beginning the discussion about race with your family is the first step in showing people of other races what we all deserve - love.
